Nature's Sunshine High-Potency Grapine contains proanthocyanidins (PAC's) derived from both grape seed and Maritime pine bark extracts. Proanthocyanidins (PAC's) are considered a highly bioavailable, water-soluble class of flavonoids with unparalleled antioxidant ability.
Grape seed extract contains the most powerful proanthocyanidins providing a concentration of 95% proanthocyanidins. Extracts from maritime pine bark contain a rich source of proanthocyanidins, as well as other water-soluble nutrients. Pine bark extract yields a concentration of 85% proanthocyanidins.
As antioxidants, proanthocyanidins (PAC's) provide unparalleled antioxidant ability shown to be 50 times stronger than vitamin E and 20 times stronger than vitamin C. Proanthocyanidins (PAC's) also provide significant protection of collagen, the most abundant protein in the body.
Collagen is the primary material in functional fluids, mucus linings and connective tissue, including cartilage, ligaments, tendons and the lining of blood vessels. Proanthocyanidins (PAC's) help support collagen structures to keep the skin firm and helping to fight against free radical damage.
