Description
Absolute Essential Peppermint (Organic) is a cooling, refreshing and stimulating oil that can be used to create an atmosphere for a positive outlook and natural balance during times of strain, stress or overwork. 

Peppermint's powerful aroma has strong cleansing qualities that can be refreshing during mental tension. It is also helpful for muscle tension with localised massage, particularly for the feet. Peppermint is a herbaceous perennial plant that can grow to be up to 90 cm tall. It prefers moist, shady conditions. Indigenous to Europe and the Middle East, this herb is now cultivated in many parts of the world. It is used widely as a culinary herb and is a very popular flavour in teas, sweets and toothpaste as well as a refreshing addition to skincare products.

Fragrance notes:
Powerful, bright, minty-fresh and very cleansing. Breath mints come to mind when describing this crisp and cool scent.

Blends well with:
Basil, Rosemary Cineol, Lavender True, Tea Tree.
Ingredients

Mentha piperita (Leaf, distilled, certified organic, France)

Naturally occurring constituents: Menthol, Menthone, 1,8-Cineol, Menthyl acetate, Isomenthone, Neomenthol.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Muscle tension in the head: Apply 1-2 drops to the temples and down the neck combined with gentle massage.

For easy breathing: During ills and chills, add 2-5 drops of peppermint oil to a bowl of boiling water, for a steam inhalation. Cover your head with a towel and breathe deeply. Repeat every 2-3 hours as required.

Tension in the back and neck: Add 3-5 drops to 10 ml of carrier oil and massage to the affected area. 

During study: Add 5 drops of peppermint with 5 drops of rosemary to support an atmosphere of focus.

Travel queasiness: Rub 1-2 drops in a carrier directly onto the solar plexus. Repeat as required.
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use -not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
  • Avoid peppermint oil during pregnancy. 
  • Allergies: This oil blend does not contain any nut oils, however, the place of manufacture handles nut oils.
