Curcuminoids, the active ingredient in turmeric, maintains healthy cyclooxygenase–2 (COX2) enzyme activity whilst also supporting the metabolism of prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and thromboxanes.
Curcumin is generally poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. Meriva® is a unique, patented curcumin extract that is attached to a phosphatidylcholine molecule (phosphatidylcholine is a component of cell membranes). Meriva® phytosome complexes are more stable and have high absorbability.
